The Perigord is the region known as a gastronomic paradise, not known for haute cuisine but hearty country cuisine (cuisine de terroir), plain & simple fair revolving around foie gras, mangret, confit de canard (duck), black truffles, goose, garlic, mushrooms, walnuts, goat cheese & whatever farm fresh food is in season. All to be enjoyed with the celebrated fine wines of Bordeaux and Bergerac. A true vacation paradise for every sense!
